Nataša Medved

Nataša Medved was born in 1976 in Rijeka. She obtained a degree in French Language and Literature and German Language and Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. She translates literary, philosophical and theoretical texts, as well as graphic novels, from German and French, and works as an editor at OceanMore publishing house. Among others, she has translated novels by Kim de l'Horizon, Christian Kracht, Anne Weber, Marie Ndiaye, Gauz and Lukas Bärfuss, as well as theoretical works by Peter Bürger, Hans Belting, Nicolas Bourriaud, Siegfried Kracauer, Byung-Chul Han and Jeannette Fischer. For her translation of the book „Hatred“ by Jeannette Fischer, the Croatian Literary Translators’ Association awarded her with the „Josip Tabak“ Award for the best translation of non-fiction in 2023.
