Alen Špionjak
Disrupted Project is the musical alias of Alen Špionjak, a producer, live performer and co-founder of the record label Vakum Records. Rooted in the raw and unpredictable side of underground electronic music, Disrupted Project moves between stripped-down techno, electro, acid and experiments driven by the sound of machines. Its sound emerges from instinct rather than a formula, with repetition, imperfection and unforeseen coincidences becoming integral parts of the creative process. More interested in exploration than perfection, the project has always embraced the physical nature of electronic music: the interaction of machines, the breaking of rhythmic patterns, and structures that emerge and fall apart. Music that exists somewhere between control and chaos. After years of producing and performing live, Disrupted Project gradually fell silent, without an official closure. Just a prolonged absence from the stage and from the machines. Rumours of a return to the studio, unfinished ideas resurfacing and the possibility of renewing collaboration with long-time musical partner Borut Cvajner could mark the return of Disrupted Project, both to music production and to live performances.
