Claudia Durastanti
                        Claudia Durastanti, writer and translator, was born in 1984 in Brooklyn. After studying cultural anthropology in Rome, she enrolled in a master’s program in journalism. Her literary debut Un giorno verrò a lanciare sassi alla tua finestra (One Day I Will Come to Throw Stones at Your Window, 2010) won the Premio Mondello Giovani and the Premio Castiglioncello Opera Prima. She followed with the novels A Chloe, per le ragioni sbagliate (For Chloe, for the Wrong Reasons, 2013) and Cleopatra va in prigione (Cleopatra Goes to Prison, 2016). Her novel La straniera (The Stranger, 2019) was nominated for the Strega Prize and has been translated into 25 countries. Her latest novel, Missitalia, won the Premio Mondello and is currently being translated into multiple languages. Her work has appeared in journals including The Paris Review, Apartamento, and Los Angeles Review of Books. She is the curator of the feminist library La Tartaruga.
