Katarina Penđer

Katarina Penđer was born in 1987 in Šibenik. After completing primary and secondary school in her hometown, she pursued a degree in Italian and Croatian just a bit further south. She later moved to Zagreb, where she still lives today. At the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, she also studied Sinology. Katarina translates fiction and non-fiction from Italian, English, and Chinese, occasionally contributing to the Third Program of Croatian Radio. Her favorite role, however, is being an editor or simply a reader. She has translated works by Margaret Atwood, Paolo Rossi, Roberto Calasso, Liu Cixin, Ai Weiwei, Donatella Di Cesare, and other authors. She works in the surreal sector as an independent artist.
