Jedanaest godina Nagrade Ine, editors: Mijo IVUREK & Mirko KOVAČEVIĆ (INA – Industrija nafte, Zagreb 2005)
INA Industrija nafte d.d. Zagreb and Hrvatski kulturni klub established the INA Award for the promotion of the Croatian culture in the world (1994). It is aimed at giving credit to the authors and cultural activists who promote the Croatian culture throughout the world, bearing witness to the spiritual and cultural development of our nation in their works or supporting the Croatian cultural relations with the world through their activities.
Our presence in the European culture has been exquisitely represented in the past and modern times by many Croatians as well as the people of other nationalities. Awarding this prize, their efforts are to be presented to a wider audience.
The twelve eminent INA Award holders are as follows: Prof. dr. Charles Béné, dr. sc. Ivo Sanader, Prof. dr. Ante Stamać, Prof. dr. Branko Franolić, Vladimir Maleković, member of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences Radoslav Katičić, Lady Jadranka Njerš Beresford-Peirse, Prof. dr. Elisabeth von Erdmann, Dušan Karpatský, dr. sc. István Lökös, dr. sc. Ján Jankovič and Prof. dr. Viktor Žmegač.
The book contains the statements of reasons considering the Award-winning, biographies and bibliographies of the holders, and, what makes this book special, interviews with the holders and their photographs. The ten Award years, the eleven editions on these promoters of the Croatian culture in the world and the twelve important scientists and cultural activists - they are in the same book to remind us once again how important it is to present the Croatian culture to the world.
The editor of photography is Miljenko Marohni, while a huge amount of materials has been collected by the authors and editors of this valuable edition.
